Where’s the Small Print?

We don’t like small print and believe are clients are the same. So below we’ve summed up every possible area that may attract a cost and most of the money isn't paid to us! Please take a few minutes to read this page, it doesn’t contain any surprises but we do want you to be fully informed. The full un-edited version of this page is contained with-in the downloadable document below.
Before reading on it’s important you know that the SafetyInNumbersUK service is intended for use by mobile telephones registered and used in the UK only. Overseas use of the service is currently not recommended as there maybe delays in the transmission of text messages.

Additional Charges?

- If you decide to utilise the service whilst outside of the UK, additional charges may apply depending upon the contract you have with your network provider.
- To use our service you will need access to the internet (for which your Internet Service Provider will make a charge) and a mobile telephone (the cost for your telephone and the provision of network services are charged to you by your network provider e.g. Vodafone, O2 etc).
- You will need to send us text messages from your mobile telephone. Most service provider contracts allocate a number of free text messages every month. So long as you have sufficient of these left there will be no additional costs. If however you have used them all you will be charged for each message sent to us at the rate agreed with your network provider.
- Occasional and Regular users are charged 50p and 25p respectively for each message they are sent. Alarm messages sent are charged at 50p each. These charges are referred to as Premium Rate Messages (PRMs). Before we can send PRMs to your mobile telephone you must authorise their use. This done by simply responding to a text message you will be sent. The registration process is not completed until you have done this. If alarm messages are to be sent to the mobile telephone of a nominated person they will also need to accept these charges.
- If you have a Pay As You Talk mobile telephone you will not be able to receive PRMs unless you have sufficient credit.

Payment Methods:

Weekly (Regular Users) and monthly (Corporate Users) charges are paid via a credit or debit card through PayPal. All transaction are completely secure, we do not have access to our clients card details. Monitoring messages sent to Casual and Regular users are charged by your network provider.

Fair Use Policy:

Our Corporate customers’ monitoring messages are sent free of charge. Because of this we operate a Fair Use Policy which works in a similar way to most of the mobile telephone network providers in so much as we allocate free monitoring text messages per telephone, per month, these number 176. Additional messages are charged as premium rate messages, as mentioned above, at 25p per message.
