How does it work?
At specified periods a text message is sent to each Lone Worker’s mobile telephone. This contains a two digit code number and requires a specific response with-in a predetermined period; it is the response that confirms their status e.g. OK, under duress, etc. Any response that signifies the individual is at risk will trigger a covert alarm message to predetermined personnel. If the Lone Worker fails to respond to a message with-in the specified period a second text will be sent to them, if no response is received within a further period, a covert alarm message is sent automatically.
How frequently are messages sent?
This is determined by the user during the simple on-line registration process. In addition, the time allowed to respond to text messages, the creation of response status codes, and the appointing of alarm message recipients are also confirmed. Variables can be amended at any time via your account settings on this website. Once a user is registered the service can be switched on and off by a text message from the Lone Workers mobile telephone or this website, this feature ensures that users aren’t disturbed when they are not at risk.
What about costs and contracts?
Unlike other systems there is no set-up fee or special hardware to buy. Costs are based on utilisation and there are three tiers of user, Occasional, Regular and Corporate. Dependant upon the tier you choose there is no minimum contract term.
